Mr.Baba Siddiqui Inaugurates “FoneKey Live”

Becomes the first ever hotel guest in the world to remotely check in, get a hotel room allotted, and open his room using his mobile phone.
 

In as novel way as the product itself, Hororable Mr.Baba Siddiqui, Minister of State for Labour, Food & Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection, and Food & Drugs Department, Government of Maharashtra, inaugurated the world’s first deployment of FoneKey, a path breaking hi-tech product for hospitality industry. He becomes the first ever hotel guest in the world to remotely check in Hotel Regal Enclave, Khar, Mumbai, get a room allotted to him, and then operate the room door; all using his mobile phone, and without having to wait or see anyone at the hotel reception. In presence of the media the “FoneKey Live” event was organized in Hotel Executive Enclave, Bandra, Mumbai, barely a year following the accolades FoneKey’s patent pending technology received at the Global Hospitality Industry’s premier HITEC-2006 technology conference in Minneapolis, USA. Both of these Mumbai hotel properties become the first hotels in the world to be installed with this revolutionary new technology.
Mr.Siddiqui noted that FoneKey technology has the potential to create an entirely new hospitality market sector that merges the guestroom access security segment with the rest of the components of guest services, such as reservation, check in / check out, billing, payment, housekeeping, guestroom environment control and detailing, etc. All of this under the control of the guest’s own mobile phone.

Introduces The FoneKey Technology To The Chief Guest And The Media

Mike Preston, a 30 year veteran and a world renowned, UK based, hospitality expert was present at the “FoneKey Live” event to introduce FoneKey technology to the Chief Guest and the media. Mr Preston, who is Director of Business Development at FoneKey, Inc., is also the founder of Prismea Consulting Ltd in the United Kingdom. His previous hospitality roles include- President of SoftBrands and SoftBrands Hospitality (USA), Managing Director of LK Global Hospitality Systems and Founder and Managing Director of Fairmount Data Systems to name a few.
Addressing the media Mr. Preston said, “FoneKey integrates the services of two major and very diverse industry sectors into one major multi-billion dollar industry.
