FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is FoneKey a Room Access Technology?

Room access is merely one small part of the FoneKey technology, as the technology is tied into the guest loyalty program and an active part of the hotel's CRM system. FoneKey puts total control of a guest's stay at a hotel in his own personal hand held device, his cell phone.
A guest is able to:

  • Make a reservation
  • Remotely check-in, getting a room assigned
  • Bypass the front desk and go directly to his room upon arrival at the hotel
  • Have the environment of the room pre-set, AC/Heat, lighting, television, etc.
  • Remotely checkout
  • Pay the hotel bill
  • Confirm points within the loyalty program

The hotel is able to:

  • Know when a guest is in the room
  • Save manpower, having the guest go directly to their room bypassing the front desk
  • Increase customer base by providing a higher level of customer service
  • Be able to send advertisements and notices specific to that guest via his cell phone
Can A Guest Use Their Own Personal Cell phone?

Our FoneKey technology is geared to be used with a person's own cell phone once that cell phone contains our application. We have a number of options in order to insure that that application makes it onto the cell phone of the client's choice. The cell phone could be the client's personal phone (probably the most popular option) or a cell phone provided by the Hotel chain or network provider as part of a co-branding option that we will make available to them. The latter option would come complete with the technology preloaded an would be capable of sending the client updates with regard to news and information the hotel or network provider wished to pass on and would contain a number of other features, such as coupons as part of an active CRM.

Otherwise the application can be downloaded of the web or by contacting the hotel's guest loyalty program center.

FoneKey is a powerful technology when incorporated into a hotels guest loyalty program and CRM systems.
